'A survivor of lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, hypoglycemia, anemia, chronic sinusitis, chronic bacterial infections and other serious ailments, Kristen Peskuski has come to believe that what she really suffered from was cannabinoid deficiency disorder – and that drinking raw cannabis juice saved her life.'

Feds Threaten Banks to Deny Accounts to Lawful Medical Cannabis Shops
'One of the underhanded ways the feds are attempting to defeat legal medical marijuana is by preventing banks from doing business with dispensaries. Because medical marijuana is illegal under federal law, federally insured banks even in states where it's legal were notified in 2011 to be suspicious of marijuana-related banking activities.
The warnings stated that the business of marijuana is a "high-risk area for money laundering" which would put the banks at risk of racketeering and laundering charges.'

Cannabis for autism spectrum disorders
'On the very last night before my staff put my book, Medical Marijuana, into production for publication, I read an incredible story by Steve Davis about a man and his wife who “cured autism” in their daughter with cannabis. It’s not really incredible; it is exactly what one would expect.
It is important for the entire autism community to wake up and take on the cause of legalization and use of cannabis for autism spectrum disorders. If one studies the pharmacological profile of cannabinoids, it’s easy to conclude that cannabis is the ideal medicine for autistic children and others with neurological conditions.'

BIG PHARMA FASCISM : Feds order all California medical marijuana outlets to close
'Federal prosecutors in California are threatening to shut down medical marijuana dispensaries throughout the state, sending letters to warn landlords to stop sales of the drug within 45 days or face the possibility that their property will be seized and they will be sent to prison.
The stepped-up enforcement appears to be a major escalation in the Obama administration’s bid to rein in the explosive spread of medical marijuana outlets that was accelerated by the announcement that federal prosecutors would not target people using medical marijuana in states that allow it.
“It’s basically the federal bureaucracy doing what it has done for the last 15 years and just continuing to put its head in the sand and saying no on this,” said Dale Gieringer, the director of California NORML.
The four U.S. attorneys have scheduled a news conference for Friday morning in Sacramento to outline their plans to target marijuana cultivation and sales in California. Earlier this year, the prosecutors circulated an internal memo that indicated they would focus enforcement efforts on dispensaries and growers that dealt with more than 200 kilograms or a 1,000 plants a year. '
