'Did you know the average person spends more time per day sitting than they do sleeping? That a slew of recent studies show a strong correlation between sitting and weight gain, sitting and overall mortality, sitting and heart disease, and sitting and loss of bone density?

As a writer, my work keeps me sitting in front a computer for hours a day. I sit while I research and write blog posts. I sit while I write books. I sit while I teach online courses and provide customer support. I sit while I promote my work on Facebook. And then, when I’m all done working for the day, I sit while I watch TV and movies, sit while I surf the net, and sit while I read books.'

Common Heart Drug Kills 41% More Often than Not Taking It

'Whatever possessed medicos to use a known poison as a treatment for heart disease, there can be no possible excuse for the decades of harm and the millions of people who have died as a result of the deadly drug, digitalis.'

'For decades, the standard medical treatment for irregular heartbeat has been digitalis, now usually sold under the generic name of digoxin. It’s a killer, and no other term comes close to describing its effects. It kills 41% more people who take it than those who do not. Whether the patient-victims have diagnosed heart disease or not, and whether they’re male or female makes no difference. If you take digitalis, you’re 41% more likely to die.

A study published in the European Heart Journal concludes that, though digitalis does help steady erratic heart beats, it does so at an enormous cost:'

Avoid Diabetes & Heart Disease with Sunlight or Vitamin D3

'Modern medicine has a lot to answer for, not the least of which is the harm done by treating sunlight as dangerous. The heart disease and diabetes epidemics can be laid at their feet for that travesty alone.'

'A new study adds to the litany of research demonstrating the enormous benefits of Vitamin D3, and by extension, sunlight. The latest, published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, documents that Vitamin D3 is a critical factor in diabetic heart disease1.
The inflammatory process is damaged in diabetes. Among other things, it causes monocytes, a type of white blood cell, to adhere to blood vessel walls. When diabetic patients’ blood levels of Vitamin D3 [25(OH)D] are under 30 ng/mg, monocytes were far more likely to adhere. When patients with diabetes maintained a Vitamin D3 level greater than 30 nanograms per milliliter, far fewer monocytes adhere. Thus, the clogging of arteries, which is associated with heart disease, is much improved when diabetic patients have adequate levels of Vitamin D3'.

'University of Granada researchers have proven that melatonin -a natural hormone produced by the body- helps in controlling weight gain -even without reducing the intake of food-, improves blood lipid profile -as it reduces triglicerids-, increases HDL cholesterol and reduces LDL cholesterol.
Melatonin is found in small quantities in some fruits and vegetables as mustard, Goji berries, almonds, sunflower seeds, cardamom, fennel, coriander and cherries. Two Apples a Day More Effective At Reducing Heart Disease Than Statin Medications

'More evidence continues to surface supporting the superior effectiveness of nature's foods over medication in preventing disease. New research shows that just two apples a day could help protect women against heart disease lowering blood fat levels by almost 25 percent, a claim unattainable by cardiovascular prescription medications.

Scientists found apples significantly lowered blood fat levels in postmenopausal women, the group most at risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Studies in the past have found that flavonoids act as antioxidants -- enzymes that target free radicals that can damage DNA. Flavonoids are commonly found in chocolate, green tea and other fruits and vegetables.
Snacking on the fruit every day for six months slashed levels of so-called "bad cholesterol" by almost a quarter, a figure that all statin drugs combined cannot attain.'

Gentle Yoga for Heart Disease Patients

Most Modern Day Diseases Are Man-Made

'The biggest killers, cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and many other diseases are largely man-made and iatrogenic in origin, yet we ignorantly dismiss their growing incidence to factors which we assume are not preventable.'

Vaccines - A Major Cause of Disease

'Type I insulin dependent diabetes mellitus is a disease that has now been linked to vaccines, as is Parkinson Disease, Tourette's syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, and several other neuropsychiatric disorders.'

'All vaccines are causing immediate and delayed, acute and chronic, increasing and decreasing, impairments to blood flow, throughout the brain and body. This IS causing us all to become chronically ill, sick, and brain damaged along a continuum of other symptoms, some of which are clinically silent until death. Vaccines are causing ischemic "strokes". Since the damages are microscopic, we cannot see them as they occur. However, we can now see the neurological aftermath of these damages - within hours and days of
vaccination - all vaccinations. (Read Vaccines Are One Big Experiment Causing Hundreds of Diseases In The Modern World)'

'There is a direct and statistical correlation between the diseases that affect a given population (in developed nations) and the frequency of vaccines administered. That being said, there is an excellent probability that hundreds of diseases in the modern world are simply a by-product of the harmful effects of vaccines.'
