'When Consumer Reports speaks, people listen – and this time the consumer advocacy agency is advising you on where to get your care – or not – if you need to go to the hospital. It's the first time Consumer Reports has investigated hospital safety,1 and the results show hospital ratings don't always match public opinions. Some of the most well-known hospitals got the worst ratings.

Except for the Mayo Clinic's various campuses, which have exceptionally good scores, others like Mass General and Mount Sinai in New York, didn't rate as well as you might expect. One hospital, Sacred Heart of Chicago, scoring an abysmal 16 on a 100-point safety scale was ranked the most dangerous in the country.'

When your child is diagnosed with autism, you want answers. You want to know what might have caused your family’s world to be turned upside down. Plans for childhood forever altered, dreams rearranged and priorities permanently shifted.

Some people however, believe that what we want is someone/something to blame. Something to pin our frustrations upon. They say we go looking for a
connection. A connection to vaccines. A link that might assuage our pain.

But this is simply not so. Not in our in our house. I went looking, setting out
not to find a link, rather to ease my worry. To reassure myself it could not be the vaccines we gave to her.

You see, linking autism to vaccines would be blaming no one but  ourselves.

We were the ones who took her to the office. My husband the one who signed the consent forms… It was us.

Finding a link to vaccines would place the blame squarely on our own shoulders and is a much harder pill to swallow than a genetic condition. After all if it were genetics, we could simply blame our parents — and really, who doesn’t like to blame their parents for their life’s challenges?!'

According To Doctors, New Born Babies Have Only Felt Pain In The Last 30 Years

'Sounds ridiculous doesn't it? Read the title again. How could babies not feel pain? Your first impression may interpret this statement as absurd or illogical. Well that is precisely how conventional medical misinformation was spread (and is spread) throughout scientific literature to promote fiction as fact. 

Doctors only started accepting the idea that babies experienced pain from vaccine injections and circumcision in the 1980's. Before that, medical wisdom had somehow managed to promote the myth "babies did not experience pain" to allopathic practitioners worldwide. In fact, newborns underwent many routine surgeries without anesthetic before the 1980's because of this misrepresented belief.'

Does Conventional Medical Training Remove Empathy?

'A surprisingly consistent body of research exists indicating that conventional medical training actually reduces practitioner empathy. What is worse, the decline in empathy appears even more pronounced at the time that the curriculum shifts towards patient-care activities. 

In one study published in 2009 in the journal Academic Medicine entitled "The devil is in the third year: a longitudinal study of erosion of empathy in medical school," the authors conclude: "It is ironic that the erosion of empathy occurs during a time when the curriculum is shifting toward patient-care activities; this is when empathy is most essential."'

Routine Early Cord Clamping Harms Newborns: No Evidence of Benefit Ever Existed

'The harm of early umbilical cord clamping is finally reaching the mainstream media. It’s done routinely, presumed to be beneficial, but without one shred of evidence. Here’s Gaia Health’s coverage of newborn cord clamping from over a year ago: 

In hospitals, one of the first procedures done when a new child enters the world is to clamp the umbilical cord, usually within the first 30-60 seconds of birth. 

It is, in fact, simply a routine procedure done without thinking. Apparently, no thought has ever been given to whether it’s beneficial. Sadly, several studies have shown that it harms newborns.'

'In the early part of the twentieth century, a campaign against midwifery began, which was led by the allopathic medical establishment.  At that time, 95% of deliveries were in the home with midwives present.  The campaign to present midwives as the dirty, unclean, and the poor option by the allopathic medical establishment ensued in a massive marketing blitz.  

Meanwhile, hospitals were presented as the clean and safe option, with supposedly better trained professionals.  What makes these assertions somewhat sad, and laughable at the same time, is the fact that doctors in those days received no hands-on training in birthing at all.  The attacks against midwives continued for 30 years, despite the statistical proof that midwife-assisted births were categorically safer than those conducted in hospitals.'
