'When I saw this I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. Maybe I’m late to the party as I don’t follow mainstream news very much, but this is ridiculous, and so indicative of our times. While certainly many people are prone to fad diets, self starvation and getting things out of balance for the sake of appearance, this report is clearly an attempt to go after and label the health conscious as extremists that need societal care.

F’d up. Once again.

This rapidly metastasizing police state wants to control not just your food content, but is now policing your diet choices within their adulterated products. According to this insanity if you no longer like the good old fast foods or going to restaurants or partaking the traditional family dinner, you’re sick.'

How much risk is acceptable in the attempt to lose weight? The FDA seems to believe that there’s virtually no limit, not even a very large risk of brain damage, among many other adverse effects, from the new drug Qsymia.

'The latest entry into the prescription weight-loss drug market,
Qsymia^®, is a combination of two dangerous drugs, one of which, topiramate (Topamax brand name), is known to cause brain damage. Perhaps it’s worth that risk in the population for which it was originally designed: epileptics.

However, taking topiramate as a diet aid means taking the gamble that a little weight loss won’t also result in nerve damage, vision damage, nervousness, speech damage, inability to concentrate, loss of control over body movements, or any of many other indications of brain damage.'

The Most Dangerous Commonly Prescribed Drug Is....

'A UK drugs firm has been hit with a $3billion penalty after admitting to the ‘biggest healthcare fraud in history’.

GlaxoSmithKline paid U.S. medics to prescribe potentially dangerous medicines to adults and children.

It handed out cash as well as everything from Madonna concert tickets to pheasant-hunting trips. Authorities branded GSK as ‘cheaters who thought they could make an easy profit at the expense of public safety, taxpayers, and millions of Americans’.'

That means it affects the brain in a manner similar to that of the SSRI drugs—which are connected with a wide range of devastating effects, including suicide.'

When the Cure is Worse than the Disease

'The average American, aged 19 to 64, now takes close to 12 prescription drugs every year!
The average senior typically fills over 31 prescriptions every year, and even children, between the ages of 0-18, are taking an average of close to 4 prescriptions annually.
But with all of these drugs, Americans are not walking around with stellar health.
Instead, chronic disease rates are rising and the latest study published in Health Affairs revealed that the United States now ranks 49th for male and female life expectancy worldwide, a ranking that has fallen sharply from fifth place in 1950.

At the same time that life expectancy has been declining at faster rates than many other industrialized nations, per capita health spending has been on the rise.
Specifically, U.S. per capita health spending rose at nearly twice the rate of other developed countries between 1970 and 2002, which means the U.S. spends more than twice the amount on health care as other developed nations.

Part of this spending is going toward the excessive and unnecessary use of prescription drugs, which as Reuters reported, Dr. Paul Griner of the University of Rochester estimated that unnecessary or inappropriate tests and procedures add up to about 20 percent of health care spending.'
