Herbs Are Not Drugs, No Matter What the 'Authorities' Claim

 Stepping back and taking a rational look at the claim that herbs are drugs reveals the utter absurdity of it. Yet, that's the excuse used to 'protect' us against their nearly nonexistent dangers.

 

'Redefining terms is one of the most insidious methods used to convince people that their interests lie with limitations of their rights. To that end, governments and media around the world have been claiming that herbs are drugs, and therefore need to be controlled for our own good.

There's a smidgeon of truth to the claim, just enough to allow constant hammering of it in the media to make the idea sink into people's brains, much like osmosis, so that it seems like the truth. There's no logic to it, though. Close examination demonstrates the lack of any truth in the idea that herbs are drugs.'

May Day! Most Medicinal Herbs Disappearing in EU Under Guise of 'Your Own Welfare'.

Herbal Medicines Banned as EU Directive Comes into Force

'Patients have lost access to hundreds of herbal medicines today, after European regulations came into force. Sales of all herbal remedies, except for a small number of popular products for 'mild' illness such as echinacea for colds and St John's Wort for depression have been banned. For the first time traditional products must be licensed or prescribed by a registered herbal practitioner. Some of the most commonly used products were saved after the Health Secretary Andrew Lansley approved a plan for the Health Professions Council to establish a register of practitioners supplying unlicensed herbal medicines. However, many remedies were lost as it was only open to those who could afford the licensing process which costs between £80,000 to £120,000.'

Poison Control Reports: Not a Single US Death Caused by Supplements, Herbs, or Vitamins

 'Common Calendula officinalis, best known as marigold, is useful to prevent infections and ease irritations. It is not known to have caused deaths or even serious injuries in spite of common use as an over-the-counter ointment found in the UK's biggest drugstores. However, it's on the verge of being banned from stores under the EU's draconian Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Directive.'

  'Poison Control can report no deaths from natural medicine's products. Nonetheless, there is a concerted attack on them. They're portrayed as dangerous, but this report demonstrates that it's an obvious lie. The bodies are lying at the feet of Big Pharma, not natural medicine.'

 

 'The worldwide attack on natural healing is being perpetrated by the FDA and USDA in the United States. One of the primary claims is that the public is being protected from danger.
