'Reefer Madness was a politically motivated campaign produced by the logging industry to destroy hemp farming within the U.S. By psychologically conjuring dark images of Marijuana smoking zombies to waft through the fabric of the collective mind; the logging cabal’s, unsubstantiated, claims succeeded in destroying the hemp farms, while, unto this day, the stigma of the ‘lunatic’ pot smoker continues to pervade and provoke the public mind. If anything, the reefer madness propaganda piece depicted in above link, probably better characterizes the tragedy of alcoholism more than it does those the authors intended to slander.
The pharmaceutical industry - officially sanctioned government dope pushers - would rather pedal, sell and breed their own form of addicts, with its more dangerous brand of ‘serotonin uptake inhibitors’ Haldol, Zoloft, Paxil amongst many others, have already been linked to suicides and school shootings.'
