Should You Be Able to Buy Food Directly From Farmers? The Government Doesn’t Think So

 

'This would seem to embody the USDA’s advisory, “Know your farmer, know your food,” right? Not exactly.

For the USDA and its sister food regulator, the FDA, there’s a problem: many of the farmers are distributing the food via private contracts like herd shares and leasing arrangements, which fall outside the regulatory system of state and local retail licenses and inspections that govern public food sales.

In response, federal and state regulators are seeking legal sanctions against farmers in Maine, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and California, among others. These sanctions include injunctions, fines, and even prison sentences.'

The Coming Death of Family Farms and Home Gardens

 

'Nothing could be so American as the family farm or home garden. Both are under attack, and we are on the verge of seeing them disappear. The family farm has been under pressure from Agribusiness and its cohorts in crime, the USDA and FDA, for years. The home garden, though, is just starting to see attacks, but from a different source. The legal system itself is likely to deal the final blow. It will, of course, be assisted by Agribusiness’s front, the USDA and FDA.'

Two raw milks and the Wisconsin case

 
Ed. Note: CAFO is acronym for "concentrated animal feeding operations". One should never get raw milk or dairy from such a CAFO dairy. Raw dairy should come from healthy grazing grass fed cows, not cows force fed grains often GMO that are not the natural bovine diet even if not GMO.

'It’s becoming clear that the Wisconsin campylobacter outbreak a few weeks back, triggered by tainted unpasteurized milk from a commercial dairy, has created a dilemma for the food safety ideologues. These are the people in the regulatory, health, and legal communities who argue that raw milk is inherently unsafe.  

These ideologues don’t want to acknowledge that there are two raw milks in America–the raw milk turned out by the CAFOs, usually under terribly unsanitary conditions and at significant risk for containing pathogens, and the raw milk turned out by dairies committed to producing safe unpasteurized milk sold directly to consumers.'

Domino’s Pizza Receives $12 Million Government Bailout While Experts Warn of Global Food Riots

'While food riots have begun emerging across the globe as a result of surging food prices, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has decided to funnel 12 million dollars into the popular pizza chain Domino’s Pizza, in what has become known as a secret government bailout. 

The bailout came from an organization known as Dairy Management, a marketing creation of the USDA. What was the result of the millions funneled into the troubled business? A large-scale marketing revolving around pizzas being made with 40% more cheese, an attempt to re-design the Domino’s Pizza brand name in partnership with the United States government.'

The USDA’s Organic Deception

'Organic is organic, or is it? It would seem that it is all a matter of perspective when one takes a stroll through the mountains of documents on the FDA and USDA websites.

The word “organic” is fast becoming a high-dollar money-maker for corporations smart enough to jump on the bandwagon and start marketing their products as “made with organic ingredients,” or “certified organic.” Even Monsanto is taking advantage of this burgeoning market, and people naïve enough to believe that what we have traditionally thought of as pure, organic food, is still that way, are being duped.

It makes perfect sense, however, in a Machiavellian sort of way. Flood the food supply with poisons, then lead people to believe that the only safe choice left is USDA Certified Organic. Then buy up the organic companies one by one, and start changing the “organic” rules from the inside out via the bought and paid for government agencies so that you can reap the profits from those trying to escape the poisons.'

CODEX ALIMENTARIUS: The Elephant in the Room that They Don’t Want You to See

The Bottom Line

'We are already having to deal with food that is injected with foreign genes (GMOs), blasted with pesticides, irradiated beyond recognition, pasteurized, homogenized, scraped off a slaughterhouse floor, and making us sicker by the minute, and now Codex guidelines are about to set the minimum and maximum levels of so-called “nutrients” we are allowed to have. If it doesn’t meet the minimum NRV guideline, just add a little more GMO such as golden rice, chock full of artificial inserted “vitamins” to the food supply and force feed it to the public via stealth, free trade sanctions and the SPS agreement, and by all means make sure that the upper nutrient level wouldn’t keep a hamster alive. And if a company or nation doesn’t meet Codex guidelines? Then it is creating a barrier to free trade and can be prosecuted under the law.

And we just go along with it. Better to run to the corner store and get more of those genetically engineered foods and vitamins designed to strip us of our humanity and alter our DNA so that big pharma can keep us in its death grip and suck the remaining life out of our bones by “treating” the diseases created by our “new and improved” lifestyles with even more “new and improved” designer drugs. Yes Martha, there is a Santa Claus. Here, take this pill.'
