Troops In Door To Door “Wellness Checks” In Virginia, Ohio

'National Guard troops are conducting door to door “wellness checks” in areas of Virginia and Ohio following power outages due to severe heat and storms.

WDTV in West Virginia reports that “The National Guard is checking to make sure everyone is doing well.”

The report also states that some guardsmen have been instructed to go to people’s homes and carry out “personal health checks”.

“Since thousands were out of power in Harrison County and there’s been times the 911 center was down, the National Guard was going from house to house in places like Lost Creek, West Milford and Johnstown to see how everyone was holding up and getting them the help they may need.” the report states.'

Section 105 of SOPA Threatens Freedom of Health Speech, Aligns with FDA Trilateral Cooperation Charter to Potentially Eliminate Access to Dietary Supplements

'Identifying threats to health freedom and freedom of health speech often requires connecting the dots between seemingly unrelated verbiage in one piece of legislation and a trade agreement, for instance, or reading between the lines to identify the full intent or scope of a provision or phrase added to an unrelated bill. And this is the case with the Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA), which contains language that could one day target websites that sell, promote, or otherwise talk about the benefits of dietary supplements. Section 105 of SOPA, entitled Immunity for Taking Voluntary Action Against Sites that Endanger Public Health, provisions that service providers, network providers, advertising services, search engines, domain name registry services, and other parties that handle internet content will be immune from prosecution should they decide to arbitrarily pull sites that "endanger the public health."'

Greece to De-criminalise All Drugs 

'The Greek government made the first big step regarding decriminalization of drug use. Justice Minister Miltiadis Papaioannou presented to the Greek Parliament the basic ideas of a new law concerning drugs. He announced that, for the first time, drug use will be fully decriminalized in Greece, on the condition that the drugs used harm only the behavior and the condition of the user. However, the Minister noted, the possession and supply of drugs and cultivating of cannabis remain punishable actions.

The Minister explained that these actions would be now regarded as misdemeanors, as long as it effects only the user and no others. Minister Papaioannou noted that the law had to be changed because of the minor danger of specific actions. In this way, police will have the ability to deal more quickly and easily with more severe issues. The Minister stressed that the law has a therapeutic approach to the issue and every drug user will be treated as an addicted person who needs help rather than punishment.'

Obama Appoints Monsanto's VP as Senior Advisor to the Commissioner FDA

 

 Folks, it just keeps getting more insane. 

'Michael Taylor was just appointed senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. This is the same man that was in charge of FDA policy when GMO's were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety. He "had been Monsanto's attorney before becoming policy chief at the FDA [and then] he became Monsanto's Vice President and chief lobbyist. This month [he] became the senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. He is now America's food safety czar. This is no joke".'
