Osteoporosis Myth: The Dangers of High Bone Mineral Density

Bone Scans or Scams? How Dense Bones Can Harm Your Health

Bone Mineral Density is NOT Equivalent to Bone Strength

'As you can see there are a number of insurmountable problems with the WHO's definitions, but perhaps the most fatal flaw is the fact that the Dual energy X-ray absorpitometry device (DXA) is only capable of revealing the mineral density of the bone, and this is not the same thing as bone quality/strength.

While there is a correlation between bone mineral density and bone quality/strength – that is to say, they overlap in places -- they are not equivalent. In other words, density, while an excellent indicator of compressive strength (resisting breaking when being crushed by a static weight), is not an accurate indicator of tensile strength (resisting breaking when being pulled or stretched).

Indeed, in some cases having higher bone density indicates that the bone is actually weaker.

Reverse Osteoporosis with Prunes

http://www.happyhealthylonglife.com/.a/6a00e54fc8012e883301543591e91d970c-450wi

'Prunes build bone. Excuse me, dried plums build bone. Whatever the preferred moniker, research by Dr. Bahram Arjmandi from Florida State University shows that eating only 10 of these bite-sized sweets per day actually reverses osteoporosis in post-menopausal women.

In a clinical study of 58 women, eating 100 grams of dried plums per day improved bone formation markers after only three months, compared to a control group served 75g of dried apples.

This supported previous animal models showing increased bone density and improved bone structure on a microscopic level. In another study, benefits were seen in male rats with low testosterone levels, suggesting men with osteoporosis could benefit from a few daily dried plums as well.'

Danger of Bone Cancer From Fluoride in Toothpaste, Drinking Water

'In 1977, the National Academy of Sciences expressed concerns on the strong relation between the fluoridation of drinking water and risks of bone cancer to young boys, Dr. Epstein points out.

A decade later, the International Agency for Research on Cancer reported that fluorides in drinking water induced bone cancer in rats. This finding was confirmed by the National Toxicology Program in its 1989, 1990, and 1991 reports.

"Not surprisingly, Procter & Gamble, the leading manufacturer of fluoridated toothpastes, denied that these results were statistically significant," Dr. Epstein said today. "Surprisingly, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) supported this claim."

Well-documented evidence links bone cancer to fluoride exposure, Dr. Epstein advises.'

High fluoride intake may boost risk of forearm fracture

'A study in Epidemiology suggests that high cumulative intake of fluoride or long term exposure to fluoride through water fluoridation may boost risk of forearm fracture in women.

Some other studies have suggested that high intake of fluoride may increase risk of hip fracture.

Fluoridation is a process by which fluoride is added to tap water to help dental caries. But there is some concern about its toxicity as it can increase risk of fluorosis if the exposure is excessive.'

Blaylock: Fluoride’s Deadly Secret

'Dr. Russell Blaylock M.D. is a retired neurosurgeon and author whose trailblazing research has tirelessly documented the fact that there is an epidemic of neurological disorders in the western world which are directly connected to toxins in our environment, and how this relates to the larger global eugenics program behind population reduction. In this fascinating interview, Blaylock reveals how depopulation programs forged by the Rockefeller foundation in association with the Nazis were the basis of modern day incarnations of eugenics like fluoride poisoning and vaccinations.'

CDC and ADA Now Advise to Avoid Using Fluoride

By Dr. Mercola

'A new study in the Journal of the American Dental Association finds once again that, contrary to what most people have been told, fluoride is actually bad for teeth.

Exposure to high levels of fluoride results in a condition known as fluorosis, in which tooth enamel becomes discolored. The condition can eventually lead to badly damaged teeth. The new study found that fluoride intake during a child's first few years of life is significantly associated with fluorosis, and warned against using fluoridated water in infant formula.'
