Cilantro Pesto Removes Heavy Metals & Health Benefits

'After taking a closer look, Dr. Omura found these organisms seemed to hide and flourish in areas of the body where there were concentrations of heavy metals like mercury, lead, and aluminum. Somehow the organisms were able to use the toxic metals to protect themselves from the medicine. While he was testing for these toxic metals, Dr. Omura discovered that the leaves of the coriander plant (cilantro) could accelerate the excretion of mercury, lead, and aluminum from the body.

This came about accidentally when he noticed that mercury levels in urine increased after an individual consumed Vietnamese soup. The healthy soup contained coriander, or, as it is better known in this country, cilantro. And when cilantro was used concurrently with natural antiviral or antibiotic agents and/or omega-3 fatty acids, the infections could be eliminated for good.'

Cilantro: A Powerhouse of Minerals and Vitamins

'Cilantro, also known as coriander, Chinese parsley or dhania, contains an abundance of antioxidants, which can delay or prevent the spoilage of food seasoned with this spice. It also is an excellent source of vital vitamins and minerals.

Chemicals derived from cilantro have antibacterial activity against Salmonella choleraesuis, and this activity was found to be caused in part by these chemicals acting as nonionic surfactants.

Cilantro has also been documented as a traditional treatment for diabetes. A study on mice found coriander extract had both insulin-releasing and insulin-like activity.'

The Health Benefits of Cilantro

A Phytonutrient-Dense Herb

'Many of the (...) healing properties of coriander can be attributed to its exceptional phytonutrient content. Coriander's volatile oil is rich in beneficial phytonutrients, including carvone, geraniol, limonene, borneol, camphor, elemol, and linalool. Coriander's flavonoids include quercitin, kaempferol, rhamnetin, and epigenin. Plus, coridander contains active phenolic acid compounds, including caffeic and chlorogenic acid.'

'There is also a large amount of literature suggesting that cilantro could be one of nature's best chelation agents, particularly for individuals who have been exposed to heightened levels of mercury. Mercury excess is a common problem that may be the result of metallic teeth fillings or over-consumption of predatory fish. Many people suffering from excess mercury report that the feeling of disorientation resulting from the poisoning can be greatly reduced through consuming large and regular amounts of cilantro over an extended period.

Also, the rich qualities of cilantro oil have a powerfully positive effect on our inner digestive tract. The oils aid our digestive system in its production of digestive enzymes, acids and juices. The oil also helps to stimulate digestion through peristaltic motion.'

'At around 11 AM, my stomach began to growl. Just as a very loud, rather un-lady-like noise erupted from the region of my belly, this Bon Appetit article on 25 uses for Sriracha showed up in my newsfeed on Facebook. Sriracha is a tasty Thai-inspired hot sauce made from chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. Even if you haven’t used it yet, you’ve probably seen it — I feel like I see these bottles of vivid red sauce with green tops and a white rooster printed on the front everywhere. '

An essential test for heavy metal toxicity

 http://www.phillipswebster.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Chelation-Therapy.jpg

'Question: I've read about heavy metal toxicity in several health publications, but when my doctor tested my blood, the results were negative. Does this mean I'm in the clear and don't need to worry about heavy metals?

Dr. Wright: Unfortunately, the blood tests used by most mainstream doctors are virtually useless (except in cases of acute exposures) for identifying heavy metals that are stored away in your body.'
