'The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently engaged in a massive fear mongering campaign that would have everyone in America believe that the so-called West Nile virus (WNv) is spreading uncontrollably like wildfire. Though the CDC admits that only a miniscule percentage of people have even a remote chance of contracting the virus, the agency is still pushing for the mass spraying of cities with toxic pesticides, and actively encouraging people to coat themselves in toxic DEET chemicals to deter mosquitoes.

Parkinson's Disease Linked to Exposure to Pesticides

'A review of research from Belgium's Catholic University of Louvain has confirmed that Parkinson's disease is linked to occupational exposure to pesticides.

The researchers, working with the Louvain Center for Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, analyzed studies between 1985 and 2011 that looked at pesticide exposure by workers who handled pesticides. These included farm workers who sprayed pesticides.

The overall conclusion of the research found that those who handled pesticides were significantly more likely to contract Parkinson's disease. In four studies, where the Parkinson's diagnoses were confirmed by neurologists, those handling pesticides had an average of over two-and-a-half times the risk of contracting Parkinson's disease. The increased risk ranged from 46% higher to almost four-and-a-half times higher among the workers.'

Stacks of scientific studies have documented serious health risks to humans from pesticide exposure, but pesticide makers and sprayers, like the fictional Mr. Thurm, ignore the research and stick with talking points or their own questionable "science" in their efforts to muddy the waters, create confusion and delay government action to protect the public. 'When U.S. regulators approved Monsanto’s genetically modified “Bt” corn,
they knew it would add a deadly poison into our food supply. That’s
what it was designed to do. The corn’s DNA is equipped with a gene from soil bacteria called Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) that produces the Bt-toxin. It’s a pesticide; it breaks open the stomach of certain insects and kills them.

But Monsanto and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) swore up and
down that it was only insects that would be hurt. The Bt-toxin, they
claimed, would be completely destroyed in the human digestive system and
not have any impact on all of us trusting corn-eating consumers. Oops. A study just proved them wrong.'
