Study: Higher Cholesterol Levels Associated with Longer Life – Statin Drugs Useless and Dangerous

fat and cholesterol are good for you Study: Higher Cholesterol Levels Associated with Longer Life Statin Drugs Useless

'If you have high cholesterol levels you should take a statin right? That is the mantra promoted by conventional medicine. In fact, statins have become the most profitable class of medications sold by The Big Pharma Cartel.

I have seen countless patients who have been told by their doctor that if they don’t take a statin drug they are putting themselves in line for heart attack.

However, that is not what the research has found. Did you know that:'

saturated fat and cholesterol heart disease think again

'Sometimes I forget that most people have not re-embraced healthy, traditional, saturated fats like I have. And even if they have, they still cling to the idea that too much fat would be “bad”.

Those two statements alone open a can of worms for a lot of people. I had a friend once say “So all those lessons we had in school about how good fats were liquid at room temperature and bad fats were solid…those were wrong?” Yep. Give me butter over canola oil any day.'

'When a big, fat lie built around such a sensitive and health threatening issue becomes way too widespread, that even the authors start to believe it, it is really hard to turn the tide without major consequences.'

'With the blockbuster cholesterol-lowering class of drugs known as statins being widely promoted for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease, despite their having over 300 documented adverse health effects (including heart failure!), how does chocolate sound as a viable, heart-friendly alternative?'

Vitamin D ‘Fails’ to Lower Cholesterol: So?

A completely useless, frankly stupid, study shows that Vitamin D ‘fails’ to lower cholesterol – but the idea that it would lower cholesterol never made sense in the first place, which the researchers should have known.

'Cholesterol is required to manufacture Vitamin D. So, if Vitamin D is provided in a pill form, why would anyone expect cholesterol levels to be affected? It makes no sense. In fact, the study managed to demonstrate exactly what one would expect: Taking Vitamin D has no discernible effect on cholesterol levels, whether your concern is LDL, HDL, or triglycerides (which aren’t cholesterol, anyway).
Though this pseudo study would have you believe that Vitamin D is useless, the truth is completely different. In fact, people with low levels of D have 77% more heart disease than those who have only moderate levels. That should be the real eye-opener for these researchers. In combination with their useless study, it demonstrates the fact that Vitamin D improves heart health without having any effect on cholesterol.'

High Intake of Cholesterol Shown to Actually Repair Damaged Brains

'Including high-cholesterol foods as part of a healthy diet may not be the poor dietary choice we have all been told it is, suggests a new study published in the journal Nature Medicine. It turns out that cholesterol actually helps increase production of an important component of the nervous system that facilitates proper nerve cell communication, and prevents the onset of brain diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.'

Dangers Of Lowering Cholesterol Dates Back 20 Years

heart eggs

'Is cholesterol reduction a good thing? Many doctors and health authorities would answer an unequivocal 'yes' to this question, but what does the evidence show. Previously on this site I have shared evidence which strongly suggests that cholesterol reduction, per se, is not necessarily good for our health, and may even be hazardous. Last week's blog post reported on drugs that, although effective for cholesterol, have singularly failed to improve health and may even have hastened some people's demise.'

Enjoy Saturated Fats, They’re Good for You!

'The medical establishment and government health authorities say that consumption of saturated animal fats is bad for us and causes heart disease. According to the lipid hypothesis – the label used for the diet-cholesterol theory of heart disease – saturated fats raise serum cholesterol levels, and high blood cholesterol causes obstructive plaques to form in arteries, called atherosclerosis.

This pathologic process causes coronary heart disease and the need for coronary artery bypass surgery, which is what I do. Types and Structure of Fats 'Animals and tropical plants contain saturated fats while plants outside the tropics have mostly unsaturated fats. Saturated animal fats are in milk, meat, eggs, butter, and cheese. And tropical coconut and palm oil contain a lot of saturated fat.

The food industry makes trans fats. They do this by shooting hydrogen atoms into polyunsaturated vegetable oils. This straightens out the fatty acid molecules and packs them closer together, giving vegetable oil so treated a solid texture like lard. Trans fats are used to make margarine, with yellow bleach added so it looks like butter. They are also used to prolong the shelf life of bakery products, snack chips, imitation cheese, and other processed foods.'

$29 Billion Reasons To Lie About Cholesterol

New Drug Increases HDL, Decreases LDL, But What About Heart Disease?

 http://www.robertscottbell.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/The-Cholesterol-Hoax.jpg

'A new study shows that so-called “good” cholesterol, HDL, is increased, and so-called “bad” cholesterol, LDL, is decreased by a new, as yet unreleased drug, evacetrapib. To be published this week in theJournal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the study demonstrates that HDL can be more than doubled compared with placebo and LDL decreases up to one-third.

That does, of course sound good.

Having higher HDL levels and lower LDL levels are good for us, right?'
