Quebec Couple Wins Right To Grow Vegetables On Front Lawn

'The city of Drummondville Quebec has ruled in favor of a couples right to grow their own vegetables on their front lawn! This case could set a precedent and generate a ripple effect that would see families all across the nation following in their footsteps and growing their own organic non GMO fresh produce.'

Editor's Note: It would be nice if this ripple effect crosses the border into America. Perhaps now we in America can secure this 'RIGHT' to grow our own food on our own lawns front or back! Why do we need the government's permission to do just about anything?

'You know you should be eating your vegetables, but do you know why?

Did you know, for instance, that eating more vegetables can help you reduce stress, increase attentiveness, reduce cravings, and lose weight?

According to a recent report from Texas A&M University and Texas
State University, older populations of adults who garden are more likely to eat vegetables than their non-gardening counterparts.

This study, published in Hort Technology,
surveyed adults over the age of 50. Over 250 questionnaires were
completed by adults aged 50 years and older, over the course of one
month. The online survey was created as an effort to encourage gardening
among older adults, and was part of a program involving what the
researchers called “gardening intervention.” '

'The revised and updated edition also features a new chapter on urban permaculture, designed especially for people in cities and suburbs who have very limited growing space.
